Metro Parks invites Community to share feedback

From the Columbus & Franklin County Metro Parks

Columbus & Franklin County Metro Parks (Metro Parks) is inviting park visitors and residents to share their thoughts and experiences by participating in its ongoing community survey. The survey is part of Metro Parks’ continuing effort to listen to the people it serves and to ensure that the park system remains responsive, inclusive, and well-aligned with public needs.

The brief survey asks participants to reflect on their use of the parks, what they value most, and where they see opportunities for improvement. Whether someone visits weekly or just a few times a year, their input is essential in helping shape decisions about future amenities, programs, and conservation efforts.

“We want to hear from everyone who enjoys our parks,” said Tim Moloney, Executive Director of Metro Parks. “This is an opportunity for our community to directly influence how we care for these natural spaces and improve the experience for all visitors.”

Metro Parks includes 20 parks across Franklin County and surrounding areas, offering nearly 230 miles of trails, diverse wildlife habitats, and a wide range of free educational and recreational programming. The agency is currently planning for future development, including new parks and updates to existing sites. Public input through the survey will help guide those efforts and ensure that new initiatives reflect the interests and priorities of Central Ohio residents.

The survey is available now and takes only a few minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous, and everyone is encouraged to participate, whether they are a frequent trail user, a parent attending nature programs, or someone visiting for the first time.

The survey will remain open through the summer, and results will help shape both near-term updates and long-term park planning.
