Westside Columbus

July 30, 9:22 p.m. – Shooting

S. Eureka Ave. & W. Broad St.

Officers responded to a drive-by shooting targeting a group of teens. A juvenile victim sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. An 18-year-old suspect had been charged with three counts of felonious assault.

Aug. 1, 1:52 a.m. – Shooting

1500 block of Tracy Circle

Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The male victim sustained a gunshot wound to the left leg and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. He is expected to recover.

Aug. 2, 6:00 p.m. – Theft from Vehicle

5400 block of Renner Road

A suspect gained entry into a parked vehicle at a restaurant and stole the victim’s purse. The investigation is ongoing.

Aug. 2, 9:57 a.m. – Motorcycle Crash

Ramp from South I-270 to East I-70

A motorcycle operator lost control and overturned while traveling on the ramp. The rider was transported to Grant Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Aug. 8, 11:14 p.m. – Homicide

4700 block of Sullivant Avenue

Officers responded to a reported shooting and found 25-year-old Christopher Santiago-Flores suffering from an a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. An 18-year-old suspect was taken into custody without incident and was charged with murder.

Aug. 9, 9:36 p.m. – Shooting

1500 block of Tracy Circle

Officers responded to a report of a shooting and found an adult victim with a gunshot wound to the foot. The victim was treated at the scene by Columbus Fire personnel and was not transported to a hospital. The investigation is ongoing.

Aug. 14, 1:42 p.m. – Shooting

1200 block of W. Broad Street

Officers responded to a reported shooting and found an adult victim suffering apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital. Detectives from the Homicide Unit are investigating. Police are seeking public assistance to identify a person of interest seen riding a bicycle in the area at the time of the incident.

Aug. 15, 11:51 a.m. – Shooting

100 block of N. Princeton Avenue

Officers responded to a report of an adult shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

Aug. 15, 3:45 p.m. – Homicide

600 block of Raleigh Drive

Officers responded to a reported shooting and found a 15-year-old victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. A 19-year-old suspect was arrested without incident and charged with murder. The investigation is ongoing.

Aug. 20, 8:55 p.m. – Shooting

2500 block of Sullivant Avenue

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing but found an adult victim with a gunshot wound to the lower body. The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition and is expected to survive. The case remains under investigation.
