Aug. 30 Westland High School Cross Country runners participated in a historical invitational at Groveport Madison High School.

It was the first time the school had hosted an Invitational and all athletes who ran were noted as being a part of history. Ten Middle Schools and 13 High Schools participated.

Madelyn Grimm and six other varsity athletes from Westland High School ran a 5000 meter race around the school.

Grimm is a freshman at Columbus Preparatory Academy but runs for Westland, because CPA does not have a cross country team.
