Strong Start Workshops Begin Oct. 7 in Columbus

A Step in the Right Direction is launching Strong Start Support Services, a free program to help families during a child’s first year with workshops, hygiene products and essentials such as car seats or Pack ’n Plays.

The workshop series runs Tuesdays, Oct. 7 through Dec. 23, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Glenwood United Methodist Church, 2833 Valleyview Drive. Sessions include infant vitality, caregiver support, life skills and employment pathways, and emotional intelligence.

Participants must have a child under 12 months or be at least 32 weeks pregnant.

Each household may receive one car seat or Pack ’n Play per child.
