Fall Festival Tradition
By Theresa Garee
A fall tradition of more than thirty years will be open to the public this coming Sept. 27 at the Glenwood United Methodist Church.
Doors open at 9 a.m. and visitors can expect to see more than twenty vendors showcasing their personal crafts and creations. From needle point, personalized clothing to honey, soup mixes.
The women of the church will provide a bake sale, included long time member Sue Snapp, who will be bringing her zucchini bread.
“We’ll have a meal of pulled pork, as well,” Snapp said.
But the largest fundraiser is the fifty plus basket raffle the festival has. Baskets vary from restaurant gift cards, mums, OSU-themed to a handmade quilt by the church quilting club.
The money goes to church needs and more.
“It went to an elevator one year, in the church.” Snapp said.
