Prairie Township was able to install new playground equipment thanks to a grant from the ODNR NatureWorks.

NatureWorks projects are funded through the Ohio Parks and Natural Resources Bond Issue which was approved by Ohio voters in November 1993.

Since NatureWorks’ inception, the grant has funded over 2300 public park projects in all 88 counties.

The grant awarded Prairie Township $150,000 to place the playground equipment at the Prairie Township Sports Complex.

The upgrades include all weather turf and multiple new apparatus that pay homage to the surrounding sports fields.
